Our Relationship with Hudsonville Dental
Since Hudsonville Dental Kids is part of a general dental practice, we can schedule you and your child’s appointments at the same time. Our dedicated team of dentists can treat the entire family, while still offering the specialized care your child needs as they grow and develop. Both of our pediatric dentists have undergone specialized training in child psychology, , and behavior management.
The Cavity Free Club
Know what would look awesome on your fridge? A certificate from the Cavity Free Club, of course! If your child is free of cavities, we’ll give them a fun certificate to remind them of their achievement. Our pediatric dentists and their team want to make your child’s experience during their appointment as positive as possible. Joining our Cavity Free Club is a great way to encourage your child to keep up the good work!
What to Expect During Your Child’s Appointment
If your child is over the age of 3, we ask that they experience their dental visit on their own. It’ll be easier for your child to follow directions if they only have to listen to one person. Also, this will give our pediatric dentists the opportunity to start building a relationship with your child. After the examination, one of our pediatric dentists will share their findings with you.
Our dentists use kid-friendly terminology to help your child better understand their oral health. For example, we may talk about how brushing and flossing help keep “sugar bugs” off your child’s teeth. As a pediatric dental office, we do everything we can to help your child understand the importance of good oral hygiene. Our and their team will also make sure your child always feels safe and comfortable in the dental chair.
