Picture a 6th grader, envisioning a future where she'd be the one holding the dental mirror. That was Dr. Qahwash! Her path from aspiring student to accomplished dentist is both inspiring and impressive. She started with her RDH from Lansing Community College in 1994, then advanced her studies at Michigan State University. The crowning achievement? A Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit Mercy. It's a testament to turning childhood aspirations into a reality!

After graduating, Dr. Qahwash established a successful family practice in Plainfield, Illinois, which she owned and operated for 17 years. This experience refined her skills in caring for children and families while developing a patient-centered approach to care. More recently, she worked with underserved children in Hobbs, New Mexico, further solidifying her commitment to providing dental care to those who need it most.

She participated in important volunteer work with PCRF in the West Bank, Palestine, where she performed full mouth dental restorations on refugee children who had undergone cleft lip and palate reconstructions. This volunteer work truly made a world of difference, one smile at a time!

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Qahwash leads an active and diverse lifestyle. She's an accomplished marathon runner, having completed the Chicago Marathon in an impressive time of under four and a half hours. This achievement reflects her dedication and perseverance, qualities that also shine through in her dental practice. After a day at the office, Dr. Qahwash enjoys unwinding at home, often observing the wildlife in her backyard while indulging in a big bowl of ice cream.
